Soft Tissue Sarcomas

Sarcomas are rare but should be considered in patients who present with a mass, particularly in:

Biopsies of suspected sarcomas of bone and soft tissue should be deferred until after full staging investigations, including plain X-rays, CT scans, bone scan, and MRI. It is essential to discuss the patient with the Sarcoma Clinic Phone 80023, or contact the Oncologist on call after hours before biopsy to avoid prejudicing future surgery or radiation options.
